My students range from K-5th grade and attend a school where academics is put first. We have very high test scores, falling in the average to high range. There used to be a very high level of stay at home parents, but in recent years, that has changed some. Many parents are back to work and are quite busy, so don't have the time to promote fitness as they used to. Emphasis is on academics, which is excellent as we will have students ready for the next level, but we need to instill in them a sense of personal health as well so they make healthy life choices.
