The population my school serves are mostly minority students comprised of 70% Black Non-Hispanic (a vast majority of these are of Haitian-Creole descent), 22% Hispanic, 2% White Non-Hispanic, and 3% Asian/Indian/Multiracial. The school as a whole is classified as a Title I school, which is a school with a high percentage of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Most of the students don't have Internet access or even computers at home.
