I am in my 5th year of teaching in the Chicago Public School system. I am currently teaching a third grade classroom, which serves 32 students, including students with special needs and English Language Learners. Almost 95% of our school is considered low-income and receives free breakfast and lunch. My goal for my students is to create a learning experience that fosters a love of learning with a curriculum that actively engages them.
