Although the students come from a low socioeconomic neighborhood where many do not have hot water, clean clothes, nor a bed to sleep in, the circumstances do not dictate who they are. I believe in empowering students so that they will reach their full potential. Despite their limited cognitive levels of functioning, they are still able to learn. I have a group of children who put forth 100% effort at all times. Their passion to learn gives me the motivation to come to work with a smile on my face each day.

About my class
