We are trying to create the safest, kindest, encouraging, comfortable and colorful learning environment possible. Our students currently sit on cold hard concrete for writing and other seated activities. These colorful and soft tiles give all students better physical support, while also filling the room with more color, as well as convenient ways to move students about the room by having them move to tiles of a variety of colors. Without having to take out chairs and desks, we have a more efficient classroom with less time lost in transitions providing more opportunity for learning and connection, as well as removing physical barriers to interaction. Lastly, we will have a cordless vacuum, so we can take care of the floor and simultaneously removing work from our overloaded and understaffed custodial staff.
