My students are third graders who attend public school in a moderate size city. They consist of English Language Learners, Integrative Service students, average third grade learners, and Gifted and Talented students. They love school and learning. Unfortunately, many of my 24 students came into third grade below grade level, struggling with focus, unable to write legibly, etc. So while their interest in learning is there, accessing the information is a struggle for many of them. However, I recently began to incorporate flexible seating into my classroom and have noticed a huge difference in my students' ability to learn and focus.
