My students OFTEN come work on school work during their lunch hour or before/after school. Especially students who do not have access to the internet and computers at home. Having fast computers that they can easily use to submit their essays on google classroom or complete an article for journalism will help assure greater equity for my students.
The technology my students have access to right now dates back to before I started teaching, and it take most of their lunch hour just to log in. Technology isn't going away and I want to use it in my classroom in a fair and equitable way.
