My students are mostly Hispanic. They come from Cuba, Honduras, and Peru. All of my students are from a low income family. Some of these students are limited in English proficiently. They have recently arrived to the United States and their families are struggling to provide the basics. Most have been impacted by their parents' struggles and are in need of motivation and a boost to their self esteem. My school is a Title 1 school and is located in a low socioeconomic Hispanic area.
