We are located in a socio-economically challenged side of a rural town. Over half of the students are on free and reduced lunch. The school itself is over one hundred years old and with that comes certain challenges, from the 100 year old designed windows to the antiquated electrical system running throughout the school. The room is small and requires nine fans to keep it cool.
Many students do not have access to basic school materials. Despite these challenges the students are energetic and eager to learn.
