The children in my 7th grade class are very poor. This year I have several homeless children, foster care, living with grandmothers, etc. Let's give them some joy with reading from material that is not falling apart. So, many times I have been asked why does our class not have books like the other classrooms. My reply the special education department does not have enough money, so we have to borrow from other classes.
