I have 23 first grade students. They are excited and dedicated learners. Throughout this school year they have become great friends and have worked hard to make our limited space on our meeting rug work. When they inform me that they cannot see or have no space I apologize and ask them to just hold out until we can get a new rug. I often hear, "But Mrs. Romano, maybe you could just buy a new rug." Their optimism and love for school pushes them to think creatively and work beyond what they are given. These students will return to my classroom as 2nd graders, so this carpet will bring them 2 years of comfort as well as many students to follow.
