I teach first grade in a rural community. Most of my students come from a low socioeconomic background and providing resources for them is on the top of my priority list. I feel like they need the same resources and opportunities as other students across the county, across the state, or across the country for that matter. I want them to be globally competitive with their peers. My students love technology and I've seen my lowest achieving students excel when presented with material hands on and engaging. I've seen how students that seem to be unmotivated will really strive to be given the opportunity to work hands on.
