This year our school is implementing morning meetings to allow students the opportunity to transition from home to school which helps with settling our emotions and calming our minds to prepare for learning.
The materials that I have chosen will be placed in our class "Calming Area" to help those students that may need a little more time to help with transitioning into the classroom.
These materials chosen, are such as the flexible wobble cushions will help students by releasing negative energy and calming their emotions. By using these sensory and tactile materials, students will have calming resources as a strategy to release their negative emotions and learn how to self-regulate them into positive, calming energy.
