My students come from a small rural community in Central California. My students are special in every way. They face many challenges including disabilities, economic hardship, and constant change. They are always smiling even after the bad days. I have students with fine motor needs, sensory needs, and those who require a safe place to calm down after a rough day. My students process and learn more slowly and need extra technology, literacy, and sensory support in the classroom.
