My school is one of two schools in our school district. The student population is made up of 685 kindergarten through fourth grade students. Out of the 685 students at our school, fifty percent are considered socioeconomically disadvantaged students and thirty percent are English learners. The kindergarten classes are a full day program with no classroom aides. All the kindergarten classrooms at my school are themed; my classroom is the Marvelous Monkeys. I have twenty-two students this year. Eight of my students are English learner students, four are in the speech program, one is diabetic, and one has Coffin-Siris Syndrome. They are a sweet group of students who are enthusiastic about learning. They love centers, activities, and games that help them learn the new standards.
My students need six Samsung Galaxy Tablets for kids to help create a small group center, use as enrichment tools, and provide differentiated instruction. These tablets will create more motivation and enhance engagement in all subject areas.
