My students are motivated in mathematics. They are not all on grade level in math, but they really enjoy math each day. Third grade math is particularly challenging based on the independence level. Our school is about 50% free and reduced rate lunch; meaning that half of our students get a discount for lunch based on their economic status. Our staff is very positive and we have a school wide discipline plan that utilizes this approach. I believe that this is the reason that I have so many children that LOVE to come to school each and every day! They feel safe in our school and feel proud to go home and tell their parents each night about their day.
