Can plants grow without soil? Students will use a hydroponic system and growing materials to discover that the answer to this question is "Yes!" Sustainability is the idea that we need to do things now to preserve our resources for future generations. Students will explore how hydroponics is a way we can grow foods faster than traditional farming. Students could use this idea as a possible solution to world hunger problems. They will also have the opportunity to enjoy their harvest and try the vegetables, knowing that they have the power to eat healthy foods.
