Our students all have been identified as having autism but they also enter or classroom with educational deficits, behavior challenges, and communication needs. Some students come to us several years behind in cognitive levels as well as being deficient in life skills; for example, we have some eight year olds who come to us in diapers, so we also need to work on potty training in school in conjunction with what the parents are working on at home. We have high expectations for student growth and achievement and work closely with other staff members and parents to help achieve those goals.
