We are located in a low income area, but have 1400 kids in our school. Our school is almost 75% free or reduced lunch. We have very smart kids but they don't have the money to buy the healthy foods they need to put in their bodies. They are high energy kids that have only get health/Physical Education 2-3 times a week. We have many great social, mental, and emotional services but the physical is left behind. If more focus and fight was put in for the health and physical education department I believe we would have a much healthier campus.
