Students learn differently. For some, they are comfortable with the traditional school environment, sitting in a chair at a desk and listening to the teacher or to other students. However, there are more and more students who need learning options.
I want to provide my students with a few of those learning options. I was able to procure a tall table, at which students can stand for some or all of my class. As another option, I would like to have four stools for this table. One more option is four exercise balls to use at a traditional desk. I feel that this allows more freedom of movement and also provides alternatives for my more fidgety students.
Finally, many of my students prefer to receive or hear information in a more private way. For example, students may want an audio book, rather than just doing silent reading. I believe that a supply of earbuds would allow students this opportunity, along with listening to music during writing activities or down time.
