I am currently an Information Literacy Specialist in a Title I district. Students come from families in which Spanish is their primary language. I seek to include books that feature diverse characters and authors/illustrators as well as increase the number of Spanish-language books for my younger students. The district underwent a reconfiguration and the campus was changed into an elementary from an intermediate (junior high), thus bringing a set of challenges, including accessibility. As a former special ed teacher, I know that it is critical that students have easier access to books that they love. Overall, Ðǿմ«Ã½ provides an avenue to achieve these goals and provides a way for my students to be successful.
