We are a small rural school set in North Carolina. Our school has about 160 students and I will be working with about fifty of them on Social Studies. I will be working with our fourth-fifth graders, and I would describe them as typical small town children who haven't visited a lot of far away places. I want to provide my students with an enjoyable, yet educational classroom field trip to some of those far away places. I want to help them understand why people felt a desire to explore.
