My school is 70% free and reduced lunch population. Many students will be first time high school graduates in their families! We have students from 23 different countries in attendance.
My students have been in the U.S. less than one year. The majority of them are considered freshman due to the number of credits that transferred. However, the average age of the student is 16. Our goal is to fast track newcomers, but it is very difficult.
