I teach history special ed in the SBCUSD. My students are in grades 10-12th. My site is 100% on free lunch. Students have allowed my classroom to become the sweetest community and deserve to have all of their supplies they need to become better students. (Allowed because students want a sweet community) We do a lot of discourse, Focus Note writing and reading of articles each week.
Sometimes they have challenging days and find comfort in the safe environment we have created in our room. This year we have also created a flexible seat area for students to sit in while they work. It is an alternative to sitting in a desk for seven periods each day. Flexible seating is not a reward, just an area where all students have the opportunity to relax during their hectic day of learning.
Thank you for considering donating to my classroom!!
