The students I work with do not all have access to technology at home. Having access to iPads will help them learn to code through using Bloxels and Dash & Dot and learn to work collaboratively. As a result, this will help them to be excited about the educational environment, which will help to level the playing field.
The iPads we currently have are no longer viable and our district is not moving towards replacing them. Unfortunately, many of the technology items we have access to require iPad apps that are more current. Without newer iPads our students will not have these opportunities.
