A nice new rug will be a welcome addition to my classroom. The alphabet rug has a separated square for each student to sit on and "own" their letter of the alphabet. We do so much of our learning in Kindergarten on the carpet, it is important to have a comfortable, clean place to sit on. Not only is this rug "a rug," it is a place where the students learn to read, count, learn the alphabet, collaborate with each other, sing, dance, and learn to enjoy school and learning! When my students come to the carpet, they will be excited to have a colorful, cozy, vibrant place to sit, sing, dance and learn.
