My students are already "different" from their sighted peers. They must use specialized equipment and accessories in school in order to be successful.
The iPad Pro levels the playing field for legally blind students and allows them to use more mainstream technology to achieve many tasks in the classroom independently.
My two fourth graders absolutely love using their iPad Pros to magnify classwork, scan worksheets and turn them into PDFs that they can enlarge and write directly on and then use their district email account to access apps and the Internet in order to do research anywhere on campus. It is truly amazing to watch them participate to the same degree as their sighted peers!
