I am currently a Reading Specialist in Illinois. The school I work at is in a very high-needs community. 92% of our students come from low-income homes and receive free breakfast and lunch at school. The students I work with have very limited experiences with the outside world and background knowledge. My goal is to provide them with the opportunity to become better readers as well as to build background knowledge.

About my class
