My AP U.S. History students work incredibly hard! For many, this is their first and only AP class. We call the class "APUSH" because they are truly pushing themselves to succeed in a college-level class. They are diverse (Native American, Latino, and some are the first in their family to strive for college), intelligent, and very hardworking. Some of my students simply cannot afford the extra expense of AP-prep materials that will help them pass the exam and receive college credit (low income, single-parent families).
