I'm wanting to create a book nook and other flexible seating options for my second grade students. Flexible seating is a 21st century learning style that helps promote student engagement whether in small groups, partners, or independent work. The tables will help students collaborate in STEM challenges, Project Based Learning and other team oriented tasks. Students will be able to move with ease between tables as needed and make choices about how and where they will do their work. Creating a reading nook that's warm, cozy, and inviting is sure to lure students into reading their books. It's important that they can focus and delve into stories and learn through reading all sorts of genres.
