We are one of the three fourth grade classrooms in our school. Over 80% of our students receive free or reduced lunches. The students are super excited when we get to do a big art project. We try to include one big one every month. Every day we do little art with history, language arts, science and math! We get inspiration from books all the time!
In our school, we are switching to a lot of technology. They expect our school to move over to computers but many of my 4th graders still cannot do simple tasks like cut in a straight line. I want to include arts and crafts to help them grow, develop their fine motor skills, and have fun! One project we did was to make winter igloos. They loved creating, building, and of course eating our building materials.
