I work in a Title 1, public elementary school in California. Every single one of my 30 Kindergarten students qualifies for a free lunch and most come from families where the parents have not graduated from high school.
Although they come from low-income families struggling to get by, they still come into our classroom, smiling and eager to learn. They come from homes where technology is not afforded and one computer in the classroom, which is not portable, is not enough to adequately serve my 30 students.
