My students are all percussionists between grades 6-12. Our 6th graders are just beginning their musical education. The 7th and 8th graders are at our middle school and perform in the band, pep-band, jazz band, and percussion ensemble. The 9th-12th graders are at our high school and perform with the marching band, concert band, jazz-band, and multiple aspects of our percussion ensemble program. All my students are very hard workers and love to make people happy every time they perform. At the end of each school year we perform a percussion only concert for our family, friends, and community which has been well received by all. Many people ask my students when the next percussion concert will be so they know to schedule in advance to come out and see them. Everything we do is built on the premise of life-long learning and hard work. The fun part for me is watching them connect our lessons in music to their everyday lives and accelerating their understanding in their other classes.
