My students are fantastic, they all have unique abilities that need to be emphasized. As a special education teacher I get to know my students very well. Unfortunately, other teachers and adults in the building do not have a positive interaction with my students. My students struggle with building positive relationships with the adults that are trying to help them. Most of my students believe their future has already been predetermined and feel that they do not have a voice in their own education.
Our school takes students who were not able to make it in a larger setting and need more structure. Our school vision is "A Caring Community that embraces Choices, Chances, and Changes." It is my goal to help every student feel and see success in their lives and promote a voice for their future.
