An iPad Pro would make a huge difference to my class! This device would elevate teaching and learning in my class tremendously. In my 18 years of teaching, I have seen firsthand the huge shifts in education, including increasingly rigorous curriculum that demands the use of technology. With an iPad Pro my lessons would be so much more dynamic, efficient, and engaging. I could more effectively teach students to digitally access the content and valuable resources, how to collaborate with others via apps like Google Drive, and how to creatively document their learning with innovative apps. With the use of an iPad pen, students will learn how to annotate a text directly on the device, demonstrate their many solutions to a math problem (recorded or real-time) or create art with fine precision. They will be able to document their thinking and not only share it with our class, but other classes as well. The portability of the device will allow us to use it beyond the classroom when we work in our school garden, have outdoor math, or go on a field trip. Really, the possibilities are endless. I know that my amazing students, current and future generations, will find even more innovative ways to use this tool to enhance their learning if given the opportunity.
