I am teaching 24 wonderful first graders who come from diverse backgrounds and abilities. Every day they come into my classroom enthusiastic and eager to learn. They are the reason I sought the teaching profession a long time ago. It was my love of learning and the hope that I can impart some of that love to my students.
However, teaching on a military base, life can be a bit more challenging but also more rewarding than regular life because it causes you to have to adapt to changes more frequently than the average person. It is always difficult for my students at first accepting new changes. This time is especially difficult since at least one parents is often deployed.
Not only would I like to teach my students academic skills technology offers but also how to stay in touch with a parent or friends they may have met during the stay on another military base.
