My students need a variety of books that they can borrow to take home each evening so that everyone has something to read. This project will help purchase these books in a range of topics and levels so that my students have lots of choices every day.
I want to provide my students with every opportunity to succeed. Offering books for them will help them improve academically and close the gap between students who have books at home and those who don't. It will allow my students to gain experience and a love for reading. With the classroom library, my students will be able to read at school and at home. As a result, my students will get to see their reading skills begin and continue to improve.
Currently, I do not have a library in my classroom for my students. My students have varied reading abilities that range from low grade level to well-below the current grade level. The most important thing for my students to have is their own classroom library consisting of books that meet their current and future abilities.
