All of the students in my classroom have moderate to low functioning Autism. They are bright, caring children who have difficulties in expressing themselves which can result in meltdowns from time to time. I try to support my students by modifying my classroom instruction to meet their individual needs. However, this can be quite challenging because our school is in a high poverty area so we do not have access to supplemental funds.
