I teach in a high poverty area, with over 90% of my class receiving free or reduced price breakfast and lunch. Many of my outstanding students are also second language learners. Our scholars participate in Boys and Girls Club activities and a Gang Reduction and Intervention Program. Despite these hardships, my students work hard to succeed in school. Unfortunately, many of my students don't have access to a computer much less an iPad. Yet, my students are still drawn into the world of technology. The use of an iPad will allow learning to be more interactive and fun.
