My middle school students are as diverse as you can imagine. Some are fun and imaginative, others are quiet with a soft smile, and they all seem to really be working towards developing their own self identity and style, and they are beginning to explore and question the world around them in an analytical and reflective way. My school is creating a vision for the future that is really exciting. There is an increased emphasis on having interactive learning experiences that are framed within a relevant and holistic curriculum that meets each learner where they are. A lot of our students have never visualized themselves as academic, because that felt like something outside of their realm of experience. I see them realizing their potential and wanting to shape a productive and successful future for themselves.
