Our diverse group of preschoolers would love to see themselves represented in the books and classroom supplies. Unfortunately, our provided curriculum is lacking representation of all of our students. There are so many books, posters, and other classroom materials that are out there, but in order to represent each student, it can be costly.
I want each of them to be able to see themselves represented in our classroom in books, toys, and other learning materials. By your generosity, these materials will allow students to see themselves within the read alouds and toys- the mirrors. This then will provide the opportunity to learn about others' cultures- the windows, leading to glass doors opening their eyes for them to step in and truly gain a better understanding. This will help continue to build our classroom community and life long skills of self-love and cooperation.
