Sports programs in middle school provides our districts high schools with experienced athletes. In order to compete with school districts as large as ours, it is imperative that our middle schools provide feeder programs. As a Title I school district, our parents can not afford to place their children in AAU programs and/ or club teams. Finally, I am able to facilitate a volleyball program to prepare Burr students success in school! We have outstanding athletes with no outlet for their talents. There is no stronger avenue to prepare students for life than being part of a team. I want to keep our kids off the streets of Hartford, and place them in an enriching loving environment at Burr school!
If my project is funded, I will personally buy the iron on numbers and letters for each shirt. Each player will use the shirt for the season, and return for the next years season. We will keep a video journal of our journey together throughout the season, to showcase and display our gratefulness in the kindness of ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½.org!
