I teach in an inner city school with a diverse population, both ethnically and economically. My students love one another and celebrate their differences. I teach students that speak Russian, Chinese, Pashto, Spanish, Swahili, French, and German as first languages. 43% receive free or reduced lunch, yet, 100% complete community service in order to stay enrolled at our school. Students stay after school or come in early to help clean windows, empty trash, file papers, and work in our classrooms. They are eager to learn about each other, and in turn become well rounded citizens. We are a family and we try to make our community a better place through service.

About my class
