I teach 30 preschool students (ages 4-5) in a blended classroom where a portion of the students have special needs in an at risk Early Childhood Center. My students are ready and eager to learn and explore their environments, despite some challenges some of them may face such as difficulty interacting with others and understanding social skills, difficulty focusing on tasks, and difficulty requesting wants and needs. Having a science center enriched with many different hands on activities will allow my students to learn through their play, question, explore, and develop their natural curiosity about the world around them.
