Recess, Recess, What Do You See? I See Children Enjoying Me! Recess is a wonderful time for children to take a break from all that is expected of them in the classroom every day. When my students go out to recess, they are prepared to play and socialize. We are fortunate to have a 20 minute recess; However, we only have one rubber kickball and two basketballs for not only my 26 students to utilize, but approximately 100 other children that want to play too. You see....we share a recess with 1st-3rd grade classes, so children that want to get their hands on a ball can feel overwhelmed. Donors, Donors, What Will You See? You will see that donations to this recess equipment project would allow 1st-3rd graders to play with their classmates in a variety of ways. The footballs and basketballs will allow the children to play our most popular sports. The rubber recess balls will allow children to play kickball or simply play catch with one another. The hula-hoops, skip and jump swing ball set, jump ropes, and sidewalk chalk will allow the children to have a more relaxed recess experience. Lastly, the solid steel cart will be able to easily carry and store all of our recess equipment.
