My students are bright, inquisitive and want to know about everything around them. They have a million questions about the world and are not shy about asking for answers. Unfortunately, many of my students do not have a wide selection of library books to read at home. These non-fiction readers will help my students learn more about the world around them. My students have the desire to become stronger readers and use these books in our class and at home to further their education. Our school is located in a high poverty area of Los Angeles, California. Our school is mainly working-class parents who do not have the resources to buy books for their children's library at home. There is no local bookstore near our school and many families have to walk to public libraries to check out books. My students deserve to have books that they are able to read while at home. Many times parents come to ask me if their child can borrow more than one book because they love taking books home
