My students are spirited, energetic 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. For the majority of my students, their time with me this year has been their first and only exposure to a foreign language. As we begin the 4th quarter, I am proud to say that they are making connections in Spanish and enjoying not only their time in the classroom, but looking for Spanish in their lives outside of school.
As we are a Title 1 school, most of my students have not had the opportunity to travel very far from home, and some have spent little time outside of their neighborhood. I want to encourage my students to continue to look beyond the walls of our classroom and to find something that excites them, pushes them outside of their comfort zone.
