My school needs small prizes as rewards for our attendance program. The percentage of chronically absent students is increasing at an alarming rate in my building.
I am dedicated to find as many ways as possible to encourage and motivate our students to be in school every day! I am planning monthly incentive parties for students in Kindergarten to fourth grade, that have had perfect attendance for a whole month. However, that is not enough. I am working on acknowledging classrooms daily/weekly that have perfect attendance, by randomly surprising them with the treasure chest of goodies for them to chose a prize from. By making these prize giveaways random, I am hoping to keep them on their toes and motivate them to be in school.
