I have an amazing group of 30 students this year. They are full of energy and are eager to learn. Our school is the most socioeconomically disadvantaged in the district and as a result many of my students have had a difficult background. My classroom is a place where they can feel safe, valued, and loved. Our school offers them an array of support, clubs, and associations to champion their interests and instill in them the beauty of their uniqueness. Exposing my students to all sorts of media, reading, STEAM, and fun engaging activities is a daily goal and challenge. The easiest part of my job is loving on them because they have grit against all odds and make my job a constant joy.
