The funds raised will provide start up materials to establish an on campus coffee cart which will be operated by students with special needs on a high school campus. The coffee/tea/hot chocolate will be served to teachers and staff on campus. This project will support and enhance many functional life skills currently being worked on and support IEP goals.
Students will have the opportunity to practice money, social, and food handling skills; in addition to inventorying, time management, purchasing, stocking and personal hygiene capabilities. These are skills that are highly transferable to their personal lives, in addition to the work force.
